Kontext: NedĂĄvno byl publikovĂĄn nĂĄzor, Ĺže kromě zvýťenĂŠho ĹžilnĂho tlaku mĹŻĹže vznik a progresi křečovĂ˝ch Ĺžil ovlivňovat i zĂĄnět. Poměr C-reaktivnĂho proteinu (CRP) albuminu (CRP/albumin ratio, CAR) představuje novĂ˝ marker zĂĄnětu spojenĂ˝ s nepříznivou prognĂłzou u rĹŻznĂ˝ch skupin pacientĹŻ. CĂlem naĹĄĂ studie bylo zjistit vztah mezi prĹŻměrem varikĂłznĂ velkĂŠ safĂŠny (varicose greater saphenous vein, VSM) parametrem CAR. Metody: Do zařazeno celkem 150 pacientĹŻ nedostatečnostĂ VSM (skupina 1, n = 114) nepostiĹženĂ˝mi (n 36). PrĹŻměr se měřil B-mode ultrazvukem reflux kvantifikoval dĂŠlkou uzavĂrĂĄnĂ chlopně měřenou spektrĂĄlnĂ dopplerovskou křivkou. KrevnĂ vzorky odebĂraly při zařazovĂĄnĂ do studie. Hodnota CAR stanovuje vydělenĂm hodnoty CRP hodnotou v sĂŠru. VĂ˝sledky: Skupinu 1 tvořilo 21 (18,4 %) muŞů 93 (81,5 Ĺžen; ve skupině 2 7 29 Ĺžen. PrĹŻměrnĂ˝ věk obou skupinĂĄch podobnĂ˝ (48,02 ± 12,20 roku vs. 44,9 8,92 2; p 0,44). PrĹŻměrnĂĄ hodnota indexu tělesnĂŠ hmotnosti (BMI) vĂ˝znamně neliĹĄila 1: 26,4 3,7 kg/m2 skupina 2: 25,7 4,2 kg/m2; 0,13). PrĹŻměrnĂŠ prĹŻměru byly 5,70 0,29 mm 3,21 0,34 (p 0,0023). 6,18 4,99 mg/l, resp. 4,45 0,27 g/dl; to 4,25 2,46 1,14 g/dl (hodnota pro 0,049, albumin 0,074). CRP/albumin činil 1,28 1,34; byla naměřena 1,11 1,21, tedy statisticky nevĂ˝znamnĂ˝ rozdĂl 0,58). Byla nalezena středně těsnĂĄ korelace poměrem refluxem povrchovĂ˝ch (r: 0,48). ZĂĄvěr: ZvýťenĂ˝ poměr je spojen zvýťenou incidencĂ varixĹŻ větĹĄĂm safĂŠny, vyĹĄĹĄĂ refluxu Ĺžil. ZjiĹĄtěnĂ podporujĂ hypotĂŠzu, vzniku hrĂĄt jistou Ăşlohu systĂŠmovĂ˝ © 2021, ČKS.

Potential Risk Factors for Varicose Veins with Superficial Venous Reflux

The objective of the study is to evaluate a range of potential risk factors in the etiology of varicose veins with superficial venous reflux. Forty-nine patients attending a cardiovascular surgery clinic for the management of varicose disease between 2009 and 2010 were enrolled for the study. The age range of the patient group was 44,04 ± 15,05 years and female/male (F/M) ratio was 30/19. Twent...

Targeted endovenous treatment of Giacomini vein insufficiency-associated varicose disease: considering the reflux patterns.

PURPOSE We aimed to assess the technical feasibility of targeted endovenous treatment of Giacomini vein insufficiency (GVI)-associated varicose disease and report our early results. METHODS We retrospectively screened 335 patients with varicose disease who underwent endovenous laser ablation from September 2011 to January 2013, and determined 17 patients who underwent Giacomini vein ablation....

Suprapubic varicose vein formation during pregnancy following pre-pregnancy pelvic vein embolisation with coils, without any residual pelvic venous reflux or obstruction

Suprapubic varicose veins are usually indicative of unilateral iliac vein occlusion and venous collateralisation. We report two cases of suprapubic varicose veins following pelvic vein embolisation and subsequent pregnancy; both presented without residual pelvic venous reflux or pelvic venous obstruction. In both cases, there was no significant flow in the suprapubic veins indicating that they ...

Haemoglobin of varicose vein, varicose vein with thrombophlebitis and in parietal thrombus of varicose vein.

Saphenous veins were taken for examination: unchanged, varicose with thrombophlebitis and varicose thrombus. The contents of haemoglobin and protein were determined in the homogenate of that material. Only small quantities of haemoglobin were found in walls of unchanged veins. Greater amounts of haemoglobin were observed in walls of varicose veins, especially in walls of varicose veins with thr...
